How to Check Your SSS Contributions Online (My.SSS and MySSS App)

How to register on My.SSS, view posted contributions, read the record, check deductions against the 15% rate, generate a PRN and report missing payments.

How to Check Your SSS Contributions Online (My.SSS and MySSS App)

Checking your SSS contributions online takes a few minutes once you have a My.SSS account, and it is the fastest way to catch an employer who deducted your share but never remitted it. You can do it on the SSS member portal in a browser or in the new MySSS mobile app. This guide walks through registration, where to find your posted contributions and loans, how to read the record, and what to do when a month is missing.

Last checked October 2026 against the SSS page on the MySSS mobile app, the SSS guide to My.SSS online services, the SSS Pay Contributions page and SSS Circular 2024-006.

Who this guide is for

  • Employees who want to confirm that the SSS deduction on their payslip actually reached SSS.
  • Self-employed, voluntary and OFW members who pay their own contributions and need to generate a Payment Reference Number (PRN) and confirm the payment posted.
  • Members preparing a claim, such as a maternity, sickness or salary loan application, where the number of posted contributions decides eligibility.
  • Family members helping a senior check a contribution history before retirement.

If your problem is with the SSS ID card itself, read our guide on what still works with the MySSS card and UMID instead.

Web portal or MySSS app: which to use

Both use the same My.SSS user ID and password. Choose based on what you need to do.

The app features above come from the SSS MySSS app page. SSS lists the minimum phone requirements as Android 9 (Pie) or later, or iOS 14 or later. If your phone is older, use the web portal in the phone’s browser.

Step 1: Create your My.SSS account

You need an SSS number and an email address you can open. Go to the My.SSS member registration page or tap the registration option in the MySSS app.

  1. Read and accept the terms.
  2. Enter your SSS number, name, date of birth and contact details exactly as SSS has them on file.
  3. Choose a registration reference. The portal asks you to prove you are the member by entering one record SSS already holds, such as a detail from a past contribution payment, a loan, a bank account enrolled with SSS, or an activated UMID card. The options shown can change, so pick one you can answer accurately.
  4. Complete the captcha and submit.
  5. Open the confirmation email from SSS and follow the link to activate your account and set your password.

If you choose the UMID card as your reference, the card must already be activated at an SSS information terminal in a branch. An unactivated card will fail this step.

Tip: new members who have never paid a contribution often have no usable reference yet. In that case, pay your first contribution using a PRN from the branch or SSS channels, wait for it to post, then use that payment as your reference.

Step 2: Find your posted contributions

On the web portal

  1. Go to the My.SSS member login and sign in.
  2. Open the member information or inquiry menu and choose the contributions record. The menu labels have changed over the years, so look for “Contributions” rather than a fixed path.
  3. If you have paid as both an employee and as a self-employed or voluntary member, check each tab. Payments you made yourself usually appear under a separate SE/VM tab from what your employer remitted.

In the MySSS app

  1. Sign in with your My.SSS user ID and password, or with biometrics once you have turned it on.
  2. Open the contributions section from the main menu. The SSS services guide describes the older app path as the floating menu button, then Contribution, then Actual Premiums; the new app keeps contributions on the main menu with clearer labels.
  3. Scroll through the months. Tap a year to expand it if the list is grouped.

How to read your contribution record

Each line normally shows the applicable month, the amount posted and who paid it. Here is what to look for.

  • A month with an amount means SSS posted a contribution for that month.
  • A blank or zero month usually means nothing was posted. This can mean you were unemployed, you did not pay, or an employer did not remit.
  • A recent month missing is often just a posting delay. Payments can take some time to reflect, so wait before assuming a problem.
  • Two sets of figures may appear if your monthly salary credit (MSC) is above ₱20,000. The SSS Pay Contributions page explains that contributions on the MSC above ₱20,000, up to ₱35,000, go to your MySSS Pension Booster account under the Mandatory Provident Fund.

Worked example: checking whether your deduction matches

Since January 2025, the regular SSS contribution is 15% of your MSC, shared 10% by the employer and 5% by the employee, with the MSC capped at ₱35,000, according to Circular 2024-006 and the SSS contribution page. The employer also pays a small Employees’ Compensation contribution of ₱10 or ₱30 on its own.

Monthly salary credit Total contribution (15%) Employee share (5%) Employer share (10%) Part going to Pension Booster
₱15,000 ₱2,250 ₱750 ₱1,500 None
₱20,000 ₱3,000 ₱1,000 ₱2,000 None
₱25,000 ₱3,750 ₱1,250 ₱2,500 ₱750 (15% of the ₱5,000 above ₱20,000)

These figures are simple arithmetic from the published rate and exclude the employer-only EC amount. Your exact MSC depends on the salary bracket in the official table, so compare your payslip with the SSS contribution table. If your payslip shows a ₱1,000 SSS deduction every month but your record shows nothing for March to June, that gap is what you raise with your employer and SSS.

Generating a PRN and paying as a self-employed, voluntary or OFW member

Members who pay their own contributions need a Payment Reference Number. The SSS services guide describes the process:

  1. Sign in and choose “Payment Reference Number (PRN) – Contributions”.
  2. For the first PRN, enter your membership type, the month or months you are paying for, and the monthly amount. OFW members in the Flexi Fund can add the amount for that fund.
  3. For later payments with the same amount and months, you can reuse the generated details. If the amount or months change, generate a new PRN.
  4. Save or print the Statement of Account that comes with the PRN.
  5. Pay through an accredited channel. In the MySSS app, SSS lists GCash, Maya and debit or credit cards.

After paying, keep the receipt or confirmation screen until the payment shows in your contribution record. That receipt is your evidence if anything goes wrong.

Checking your salary loan balance

The same account shows your loans. In the web portal, open the loans inquiry menu. In the app, open the loans section to see the status and balance of a salary loan. If you are paying a loan yourself, the app and portal can also generate a PRN for loan payments. Check that each payment posts, because unpaid balances can affect future loan applications and are deducted from benefits later.

What to do when contributions are missing

Situation First step If that fails
Last one or two months missing Wait for posting, then check again next month Ask HR or your payment channel for the payment proof
Employer deducted but did not remit Ask HR in writing for the remittance proof for those months, and keep your payslips Report to SSS through a branch or the uSSSaptayo channels; employers are required to remit under RA 11199
You paid with a PRN but nothing posted Check that the PRN, months and amount were correct Bring your receipt and Statement of Account to an SSS branch
Contributions under a different SSS number Do not open a new number; you should have only one Ask a branch to consolidate the records
Name or birth date wrong on the record Do not try to correct it online File a member data change at a branch with supporting documents

For questions, SSS lists the call center hotline 1455 and the email usssaptayo@sss.gov.ph on its MySSS app page.

Troubleshooting login and app problems

Problem Likely cause What to try
Activation email never arrived Spam folder, typo in email, or delay Check spam and promotions; if the email was mistyped, a branch can update it
Registration reference rejected Detail entered differs from SSS records Try another reference type, or use a recent contribution payment once it posts
Forgot password — Use the password reset option; SSS sends the reset to your registered email
App will not install Phone below Android 9 or iOS 14 Use the web portal in your browser
Account locked after several attempts Too many wrong passwords Wait and use the reset option rather than guessing again
Fake SSS app or page Search result or ad that is not official Install only the MySSS app published by the Social Security System; log in only at sss.gov.ph addresses

Common mistakes

  • Sharing your login with a “fixer”. Anyone with your My.SSS login can see your records and file transactions. SSS services in the app and portal are free.
  • Checking only once a year. A monthly or quarterly check catches non-remittance while your payslips are still easy to find.
  • Paying the wrong months. Voluntary and self-employed members should double-check the applicable months on the PRN before paying.
  • Ignoring the Pension Booster line. If your MSC is above ₱20,000, part of your contribution goes to the MySSS Pension Booster account. It is still your money.
  • Opening a second SSS number. This splits your record and causes claim problems later.

Before you file a claim: a quick checklist

  • Count your posted contributions for the period the benefit requires. For example, maternity and sickness claims look at contributions in a specific 12-month window. Our SSS maternity benefit guide explains that window.
  • Confirm your bank account is enrolled for disbursement in My.SSS.
  • Check that your name, birth date and civil status match your IDs.
  • Save a copy of your contribution record as a screenshot or printout.

Frequently asked questions

How long before a payment shows in My.SSS?

It varies by payment channel. If a payment still does not appear after a full month, bring your receipt to a branch.

Can I see contributions from years ago?

Yes. The record covers your full contribution history under your SSS number, including past employers.

Can my employer see my My.SSS account?

No. Employers use a separate employer portal. They see what they remitted for you, not your personal account.

Is the MySSS app the same as the old SSS Mobile App?

SSS describes MySSS as its new mobile app with a new look, biometric login, a pension calculator and Pension Booster PRN generation. Install the current app from the official store listing.

This guide explains public SSS processes and is not legal or financial advice. Contribution rules can change, so check the latest SSS circulars before making decisions about a claim or dispute.
