What are Requirements for Philippine Postal ID Application

Need a valid  ID?

Grab now the improved postal ID at any post office or mall site nearest you.

The Philippine Postal ID is valid for three (3) years for Filipinos and foreign residents with Special Retiree’s Resident Visa (SRRV). And one (1) year for the rest of the foreign residents.

Steps in Applying for Postal ID

  • Submit completely filled-out PID application forms with your requirements attached and payment to any post office. 
  • Proceed to the nearest capturing station once requirements are approved. 
  • Once done with the ID data capture process, they will deliver your ID to your mailing address.
    • Within Metro Manila – approximately 10 to 15 working days
    • Island provinces and remote barangays (approximately 4 to 5 weeks)

Philippine Postal ID Requirements

 I.   Two (2) copies of duly-signed PID application form
II.   PROOF OF IDENTITY

(Submit any one (1) of the following):

  • Birth Certificate (issued by NSO or Local Civil Registry)
  • GSIS/SSS UMID Card
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Valid Passport

Applicants without the above documents may submit any two (2) of the below documents  (with at least one must bear the applicant’s photo and signature):

  • BIR ID
  • Baptismal Certificate
  • Certificate of Birth
  • College or Postgraduate Transcript of Records
  • Confirmation Certificate
  • Elementary or High School Form 137
  • Marriage Certificate
  • Alumni ID
  • Basic Postal ID
  • College, School or University ID
  • Company ID
  • Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) ID
  • NBI Clearance
  • OWWA ID
  • Pag-Ibig ID
  • PhilHealth ID
  • PRC ID
  • Paper-based Postal ID
  • Police Clearance
  • Seaman’s Book
  • Valid Senior Citizen ID
  • Tax Identification Number Card
  • Voter’s ID

*Married females must present the marriage contract/certificate for validation of change of name to validate from the birth certificate.

III.   PROOF OF ADDRESS

Submit any one (1) of the following:

  • Barangay Certificate of Residency issued within three (3 months) before PID application.
  • Certified True Copy of Lease
  • Certified True Copy of Titles issued by the Land Registration Authority (LRA)
  • Certified True Copy of Real Estate Tax Receipt
  • Bank Statement
  • Credit Card Statement
  • School Billing Statement
  • Utility Bill (cable, electric, internet, landline, telephone, water)

Foreign Residents Requirements

I.  Two (2) copies of duly signed PID application form.
II.  Proof of Identity
  • Passport-must be valid for at least six (6) months before the application
  • Anyone (1) of the following documents related to the stay in the Philippines (valid for at least six (6) months before application)
    • Alien Certificate of Registration Identity Card (ACRI-Card)
    • Long Stay Visitor Visa Extension (LSVVE)
    • Temporary Resident Visa (TRV)
    • Diplomatic Visa
    • Special Resident Retiree’s Visa (SRRV)
III. Proof of Address

Issued within three (3) months before the application of PID

  • Barangay Certificate of Residency (issued within three (3) months before the application of PID)
  • Certification or statement of account from the hotel, transient home, or any temporary residence within three (3) months before the application
  • Certification from the hotel, transient home, or any temporary residence within three (3) months before the application
  • Land, House, or Condominium Lease Contract (notarized) if applicable
  • Bank statement
  • Credit card statement
  • School billing statement
  • Utility bill (cable, electric, internet, landline, telephone, water)

Requirements for Renewal or Replacement Without Change in Biographic data

  • Two (2) copies of the duly-accomplished PID application Form
  • Improved or Basic Postal ID card, whichever is applicable

Lost Philippine Postal ID Requirements

  • Two (2) copies of PID application Form (duly-accomplished)
  • Affidavit of Loss (notarized)

Requirements for Renewal/Replacement Due to Change in Biographic Data

  • Improved or Basic Postal ID card, whichever is applicable
  • Additional requirements to support the amendment/change in biographic data​
